As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol Specialist in Elizabethtown, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic healthcare location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and provide exceptional customer service while addressing security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related issues as they arise.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disturbances.
  • Communicate and collaborate with facility staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related risks and hazards, taking appropriate action as directed by site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as per client requirements.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
