A secret is required./ppWhat Youll Be Doing:/pulliControl access to facility by monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting vehicles, and ensuring all personnel entering the base have the proper identification./liliResponds to situations on base using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response by following established Use of Force Policy./liliResponds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents that may occur during day or night./liliObserve and report incidents or suspicious activity./liliMaintains proficiency and safety in the use of all assigned equipment, control devices, and weapon systems./liliAttend 40 hours of In-Service Training annually./li/ulpWhat Required Skills Youll Bring:/pulliActive or current Secret Clearance./liliQualified candidates must possess college or university program certificate; OR two to four years related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience./liliMust have at least two years experience in either Law Enforcement, Department of Corrections, Security or the United States Armed Forces./liliMust be able to pass an annual Physical fitness evaluation test consisting of a mile and a half run, push-ups and sit-ups./liliMeet minimum qualification standard for NC PPSB Certifications with the Glock 17 pistol, Remington 870 Shotgun and the M-4 Carbine./liliFirst Aid and CPR training./liliFEMA Courses 100, 200,700 and 800./li/ulpSecurity Clearance Requirement: An active Secret security clearance is required for this position./ppThis position requires a Fit for Duty exam as part of the job requirements.
