We are a small but busy elder law and estate planning firm looking to add an associate attorney to our office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and can hit the ground running to take client meetings and handle the workload. The ability to work independently and efficiently is important. Equally important is the ability to manage timelines/deadlines and office staff (paralegals, legal assistants, law clerks) to ensure prompt client communication, drafting, and filing. While initially the job will be paid on a salary basis, there is a possibility to add a bonus structure for revenue earned, clients serviced, etc. This structure will be developed by the associate and the partners. Key responsibilities for this job include: Leading client consultations Devising the appropriate estate plan or long-term care plan Working with the paralegals and office staff to draft documents Engaging with the probate court for probate and guardianship matter Advising clients regarding their rights, next steps, and reaching their goals Scheduling and attending client signing meetings Managing follow-up for recording deeds, correpsonding with clients and the court Preferred Qualifications are as follows: JD with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong legal knowledge, especially in the areas of estate planning, probate, and elder law Ability to work independently Efficient time management skills with an ability to multitask Appropriate management of paralegals and staff, communicating with the partners Taps Sutton & Roshon, LLC
