Description:

Systems for Public Safety, Inc. is a Ford QVM automotive "up-fitter" and maintenance facility dedicated to serving police and fire fleets. We upfit vehicles for cities and counties all over Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska.

We are looking for someone who loves a challenge, wants to learn something new and be a part of a team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working hard, working with their hands, and climbing all over different parts of a vehicle.

An Installer is responsible for installing emergency equipment into a variety of police fleet vehicles, as well as firetrucks, command rigs, and ambulances. Standard equipment includes radios and gps systems, lights, alarms, remote starts, camera systems, steel cages, prisoner seats, push bars, prisoner transport inserts, canine inserts and miscellaneous 12 volt leds and electrical equipment. Each technician is responsible for maintaining their workspace and must have their own tools.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have experience with basic tools.
  • Must have 2 years of experience with 12V electrical
  • Automotive experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and have good work ethic
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds
  • Pre employment drug screening and background check required by contractual obligation, services provided by company. Not an automatic disqualification.
  • Emergency Vehicle Technician certification required within 12 months of hire (will help with prep)

Must have the following tools on your first day of work:

  • ¼ Socket set, Metric & Standard
  • 3/8 Socket set, Metric & Standard
  • Screw Driver set (to include mini flat & Phillips)
  • Wrench set, Metric & Standard

Additional tools will be required within your first 90 days. Specialty tools will be company provided.

Compensation details: 20-22 Hourly Wage
