If you are highly motivated, have business tax preparation experience, and excellent communication skills, we need you to assist our customers in completing their taxes using Intuit TurboTax Business products. The successful candidate will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. You should possess strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for both business and personal tax returns, along with significant experience in preparing and filing these returns. Responsibilities This is a virtual, customer-facing role; you will use our advanced video communication software (Smartlook) to interact with customers. Assist TurboTax Business customers with: Tax advice Full Service Business return preparation and signing Product/software inquiries Tax calculations Filing tax extensions Create high-quality customer interactions that build confidence through deep empathy and your extensive knowledge in business tax preparation and accounting. Leverage government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to provide accurate answers in clear, everyday language. Apply established practices, procedures, and policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues related to tax advice and return preparation. Document all customer interactions thoroughly. Work towards meeting company key performance metrics and goals. Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed. Qualifications At least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for a minimum of 20 clients per season using commercial tax software. Preferably, at least 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 returns per year. Availability to work at least 20 hours per week, across three or more days. Bookkeeping experience related to tax preparation is strongly preferred. Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry clients is strongly preferred. Must hold or be able to obtain relevant state licenses, permits, or bonds. Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). Knowledge of Circular 230. Proficiency with technology and software. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally via video and audio tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Reliable internet connection meeting security standards.
