This is a newly created role. !! We are seeking a Chief of Staff/ Jr. Corporate Secretary/Board Liaison, this individual should have a minimum of 5 years supporting someone out of a large law firm. Finance or legal industry preferred. Must have exposure to running a Board process for a major insurance/reinsurance firm.

Reporting directly to the EVP, Group General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, the AVP, Senior Paralegal – Board Support is responsible for supporting the Group General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in planning and conducting the meetings for the board of directors and assisting with other matters related to corporate governance .

The role is based in the New York office and will be expected to travel primarily to Bermuda, with select travel to other offices (Dublin, London, and Zurich).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Board and Committee Agendas (including drafting, revising and finalizing)
• Manage deadlines and calendaring/scheduling
• Coordinate the collection and distribution of materials for Board and Committee review in connection with regular meetings and special meetings
• Upload Board and Committee materials to the Board online portal (Board Vantage)
• Liaise with senior management executive assistants on agenda/presentation content, logistics, forms and Q&A
• Primary point of contact for Board-related information
• Maintain list of Board education opportunities and track attendance at same
• Oversee the preparation of expense reports for Board members
• Assist with drafting of Board and Committee minutes
• Research and stay current with corporate governance and corporate secretary functions and services.
