Sales & Marketing Assistant (Social Media Engagement & Analytics Focus) ***This is an in person only position***

We’re looking for a motivated, data-savvy, and people-focused individual to join our team as a Client Engagement & Marketing Assistant. This role is the face of our tattoo shop—supporting daily operations, consulting with clients, driving tattoo and merchandise sales, and most importantly, growing our brand through social media engagement and analytics .

This isn’t just about posting content—it’s about understanding the numbers behind engagement, optimizing our strategy, and turning followers into loyal clients.

If you have the drive, analytical mindset, and personality to sell the hell out of tattoos while keeping things fun and professional, you’ll fit right in.

We also invest in our team’s growth, covering the cost of online certifications in sales, marketing, or social media analytics if they align with your role.

Compensation

• Starting pay: $16/hr + $2 bonus for each Google or Yelp review you generate

• Performance review after 2 weeks with potential raise to $17/hr + review bonuses

• Top performers who consistently drive revenue and engagement can earn $20+/hr

• Pay increases are based on results—not time served

⏰ Part-Time Schedule

• We’re open Tuesday–Saturday (closed Sundays & Mondays)

• Opening shift: 9am–3pm

• Closing shift: 3pm–8pm (sometimes later: 9:30–10pm)

• 3–4 shifts per week with opportunity for more hours as you prove yourself (18- 24 hours per week)

• We don’t “hire”—we trial. Some people last a shift, some a month, others become long-term family.

Responsibilities

• Client Engagement & Sales

  • Greet and consult with tattoo clients, helping them feel confident and excited about their service

  • Support artists with scheduling, intake, and client coordination

  • Handle front desk operations: register, phones, daily shop tasks

• Social Media Growth & Analytics

  • Engage with followers across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok: responding to DMs, comments, and messages in a timely, professional, and fun way

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase engagement, reach, and follower-to-client conversions

  • Build, schedule, and manage Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads promoting artists and their work

  • Track ad performance, engagement metrics, and ROI—then make data-driven recommendations to optimize campaigns

  • Report weekly on engagement trends, best-performing content, and opportunities for growth

• Content Creation (Secondary)

  • Capture behind-the-scenes moments, completed tattoos, and artist features

  • Assist with reels, short-form content, and occasional editing (mid level)

• Shop Care

  • Maintain a clean, professional shop environment: vacuum, mop, sanitize, dishes, trash, bathrooms

Qualifications

• Sales experience required (luxury or service-based sales preferred)

• Marketing degree strongly preferred; candidates without a degree must demonstrate exceptional hands-on experience in marketing analytics and engagement.

• Completion of, or active enrollment in, college-level Marketing, Communications, or related coursework

• Strong background or demonstrated ability in social media engagement and analytics (Meta, Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics, Keyhole, Later, etc.)

• Ability to interpret and act on data to improve engagement and drive bookings

• Strong communication skills; comfortable engaging with clients in person and online

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (for captions, DMs, and client communication)

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Bonus skills: photography, videography, video editing
