Job Description
Express Employment Professionals currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Project Coordinator for an in-office support role with our Brooklyn based client. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in construction management, engineering, or infrastructure projects who enjoys a behind-the-scenes role focused on planning, coordination, and project support—without the need for travel.
You’ll play a key role in managing project documentation, schedules, budgets, and coordination across departments to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Support project managers with administrative and technical tasks from the office
Review and prepare customer and subcontractor contracts
Maintain and track project schedules, budgets, and job costs
Prepare weekly/monthly progress and performance reports
Assist with estimating, scope development, and submittal preparation
Manage subcontractor documentation and material procurement
Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
Coordinate internal project meetings and ensure timely communication
Support financial reviews, billing, and cost tracking
Collaborate closely with operations and business development teams
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field OR 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles and documentation
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Solid understanding of basic accounting/finance principles is a plus
Experience in infrastructure, municipal, or utility-related projects is preferred
Familiarity with project management software (Primavera, JD Edwards, or similar) is a plus
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and meeting deadlines
