Construction Laborer

Join our dynamic team as a Construction Laborer, where you will play a crucial role in various construction projects. You will be responsible for a range of tasks including utilizing hand and power tools, mixing concrete, and ensuring safety standards are met. This position offers a chance to work on diverse projects, contributing to high-quality construction outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all work adhering to OSHA and H&K Safety policies.
• Acquire tools needed for daily operations.
• Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch tight lines.
• Bolt, nail, align, and block up under forms.
• Signal operators of construction equipment for alignment and movement adjustments.
• Level earth to fine grade specifications.
• Mix and smooth freshly poured cement or concrete.
• Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections.
• Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces.

Essential Skills:

• General labor experience in construction.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience with concrete work and piping.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• One month of related experience and/or training.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Mathematical skills including ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed.
• Experience in heavy civil construction, road construction, or relevant safety certifications is preferred.

Work Environment:

Work primarily outdoors and be regularly exposed to varying weather conditions. Be prepared to frequently interact with moving mechanical parts and occasionally encounter fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is typical for a construction environment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perkasie, PA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
