Construction Management is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities through installation on a project or multiple projects. Monitors safety, quality, and schedule in the field, while providing technical expertise and ensuring work in place meets the quality requirements of contract documents, applicable codes, and Disney standards. Coordinates and interfaces with all WDI Studios, DLR / WDW Operations and Security, contractors, vendors, and governmental agencies. Construction Management is the primary responsible Studio for everything that happens on WDI construction projects, including all impact to Operations. Sr. Construction Manager (of Permitting and QA/QC) will report to Principal Construction Manager.
Unification with the Disneyland Resort projects is expected to help DLR/WDI projects be consistent on the approaches/strategies we take with the City of Anaheim (Regulatory).
Lead internal WDI meetings about any City Engagement initiative.
Providing strategic and advanced thinking to set the project teams up for success when approaching the City of Anaheim.
Manages construction efforts on a project or multiple projects that are large and complex
Performs constructability analysis and value engineering recommendations
Manages pre-construction services scope and provides pre-construction input
Will lead our Quality Control / Quality Assurance for our Overall Program – ensure consistency on QA/QC process across the portfolio. Using the ACC platform.
Monitors/reviews/approves schedule, quality control, and reports statuses
Reviews and approves contract applications for payment
Administers Change Orders through the Project Manager
Perform periodic check-in’s with the WDI Design Team (in Glendale) to ensure compliance with strategies and agreements we have established with the City of Anaheim
Ensures proper interface with internal and external stakeholders
Manages the insurance program in conjunction with Loss Prevention
Coordinates creation of facility construction KSM's with input from contractor, Project Management, D+P, Ride, and Show
Manage & Track completion
Coordinates Integrated Safety Systems Testing / Temporary Certificate of Occupancy
Primary meeting attender/interface with the project team
Communicates discretionary change requests to Project Manager
College degree in a WDI Core discipline (such as Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or Design), design, or related profession, or technical school
Experience:
7+ years of outside job-related experience or 5-7 years WDI Construction Management/coordination experience

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, California is $113.800.00 to $152.500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
