We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent with a preferred strong background in hospitality construction, particularly hotels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all phases of hotel construction projects from initial planning through final completion, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, budget, and schedule. You will act as the on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and trades while working closely with project stakeholders to deliver high-quality hotel properties.
Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee daily construction site operations for hotel construction projects.
•Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trades to ensure timely and quality completion of work.
•Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
•Lead on-site meetings, inspections, and resolve field issues proactively.
•Maintain construction schedules and update project timelines using tools like Microsoft Project or Procore.
•Monitor progress and report regularly to the Project Manager and ownership groups.
•Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
•Ensure the highest standards of hospitality-grade finishes, detailing, and workmanship.
•Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to resolve technical issues and implement design changes when necessary.
•Assist with material ordering, inventory tracking, and cost control.
•Maintain accurate documentation including daily logs, inspection reports, and RFIs.
Qualifications:
•Minimum 4+ of experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably with at least 3 years focused on hotel or hospitality-related projects.
•Preferred Strong knowledge of hospitality brand standards (e.g., Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG) and FF&E requirements.
•Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
•Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and safety.
•Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
•Proficient in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
•OSHA 30 certification preferred.
•Ability to travel to project sites and work extended hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience working with hotel ownership groups, third-party developers, and hospitality design teams.
•Understanding of ADA requirements, local code enforcement, and inspection processes.
