Studio East Training for the Performing Arts nurtures confident, compassionate, and responsible young people through theatre training. Founded on the belief that performing arts can positively impact childrens lives, the organization emphasizes discipline, dedication, and teamwork, fostering skills valuable throughout life.
Since 1992, Studio East has grown from a teen program to a prominent childrens theatre training organization in the Seattle area. We offer drama classes, summer camps, Mainstage productions, SchoolStage residencies, outreach classes, and operate a touring troupe, StoryBook Theater, serving over 70,000 annually. Our mission is to develop life skills through theatre, inspiring confidence, creativity, and community engagement.
Our 17,530 sq ft facility in Kirkland includes a theatre, lobby, offices, studios, classrooms, and backstage areas. We are preparing for a future relocation, including community engagement and funding efforts.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, empathetic leader with strong fundraising, strategic vision, and community-building skills. They will foster a positive, inclusive culture, support staff development, and serve as a compelling ambassador for Studio East. Experience in arts, education, and community engagement is preferred.
The Executive Director will lead fundraising, community relations, and strategic planning, working closely with the Director of Education and Outreach and the Director of Artistic and Production. They will also collaborate with a new Director of Finance and Operations to ensure smooth internal functioning.
