About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and personable Dental Receptionist with expertise in insurance claims and billing to join our dynamic dental team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with patients, and has a strong grasp of dental insurance processes and financial coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Insurance Coordination
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
  • Submit accurate dental insurance claims (electronic and paper) in a timely manner
  • Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and appeals to ensure maximum reimbursement
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and clarify coverage
• Patient Billing & Financials
  • Generate and send patient statements and invoices
  • Collect and process payments, including co-pays and outstanding balances
  • Explain treatment costs and insurance coverage to patients clearly and compassionately
  • Assist patients with financing options and payment plans
  • Knowledge of the ledger and accurate office accounting of transactions
• Front Desk Operations

• Greet and check in patients with professionalism and warmth
• Schedule appointments and manage the daily calendar efficiently
• Maintain accurate patient records and update insurance information
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding billing and insurance

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in dental billing (minimum 1–2 years preferred)
• Familiarity with dental terminology, CDT codes, and insurance claim procedures
• Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion
