Electrical Assembly Technician, Holland MI

Job Description

The Configuration Repair Technician is responsible for repairing software updates for a range of products, including handheld barcode scanners, data capture devices, printers, cradles, vehicle mount units, and wireless enterprise mobile devices. This entry-level role involves programming scanning devices and offers significant growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Identify and learn relevant software and hardware used and supported by the company.
• Load required applications on hardware.
• Enroll new electronics into mobile device management.
• Troubleshoot automated app installation.
• Communicate with management and procurement regarding suspected hardware and/or software problems.
• Reconfigure repaired devices to meet customer standards and create QR codes to facilitate faster staging.

Essential Skills

• Basic knowledge of computer imaging, software deployment, and application loading.
• Hands-on experience with software platforms such as iOS, JavaScript, Linux, and Windows.
• Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude and computer skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in repair, electronics, electronic assembly, and using hand tools.
• Hobbies related to computers, gaming, or electronics are beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very clean, organized, bright, and temperature-controlled facility. This is a mostly sitting position, with work hours from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
