About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Special Education Administration. The successful candidate will be a visionary and collaborative leader with a strong background in educational administration, particularly in the field of special education. This role is pivotal in overseeing the school's mission to provide a safe, inclusive, and specialized educational environment for students with vision and hearing losses. Key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership, engaging with stakeholders at all levels, managing human resources, ensuring program compliance, and overseeing the financial and administrative aspects of the institution. Applicants must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsements in General Administrative and Director of Special Education. The role demands a leader with a deep commitment to special education, the ability to manage complex compliance and administrative systems, and a proven track record in continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement. The Executive Director will be the chief human relations officer, responsible for the hiring, supervision, and evaluation of all staff, and must have a strong knowledge of Illinois learning standards, special education law, and behavior management. The position requires a dynamic individual who can build strong partnerships with families, staff, and various educational and governmental agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for the students.
