Annual Report – Writer (Bilingual and Biliterate)

Project Overview:
We seek an experienced and bilingual (English/Spanish) writer based in Houston to develop a comprehensive Annual Report of approximately 50 pages, with 500 words per page . The report will serve as a key communications tool, summarizing the company's performance, key milestones, and future outlook. The writer will collaborate closely with the Director and senior graphic designer to access and interpret data, and transform it into clear, compelling narratives suitable for key internal stakeholders, the residential community, and the public/media at large.
Target Audience:
The client's Annual Report will reflect its broad reach and impact. Primary readers include current clients and residents who live in the client’s properties or participate in affordable and mixed-income housing. The report should clearly communicate the services provided, improvements made, and the agency’s commitment to resident well-being.
It will also address community stakeholders and partners, including local organizations, nonprofit collaborators, and service providers that work alongside the client to deliver housing, education, and support services.
Additionally, the report will serve the Board of Commissioners, providing a high-level overview of strategic progress, decisions, and governance matters. It should also engage with its staff and internal teams by highlighting their contributions and reinforcing its mission and values. Finally, the report should be accessible to the general public and media, helping to increase awareness of the client’s impact and build trust within the broader Houston community.
