We are seeking a Google Cloud Network Engineer to support large-scale cloud infrastructure and microservices-based platforms within an enterprise environment. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure and scalable Google Cloud Platform (GCP) network solutions that enable reliable connectivity for cloud-native applications.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in GCP networking , cloud platform engineering, and supporting distributed microservices architectures.
Key Responsibilities Google Cloud Network Design & ImplementationArchitect and configure GCP networking components including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, Cloud Router, Cloud NAT, and Load Balancers.
Implement secure, high-performance network architectures for microservices-based systems.
Optimize traffic routing, DNS, service-to-service communication, and internal/external connectivity.
Manage and maintain GCP environments to ensure reliability, availability, and scalability.
Support cloud platform deployments for distributed applications, APIs, and backend services.
Troubleshoot cloud network issues including latency, routing, peering, and access control problems.
Ensure microservices running on GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine) have secure and efficient network communication.
Work with engineering teams to support service mesh, API gateway routing, and internal networking between services.
Implement network security best practices including IAM controls, network segmentation, and zero-trust policies.
Monitor network activity using GCP logging/monitoring tools and proactively remediate vulnerabilities.
Automate cloud networking tasks using Terraform, YAML, or scripting tools (Python, Bash).
Enhance performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency across cloud networking services.
Partner with cloud engineers, platform teams, and application developers to support cloud workloads.
Document network configurations, runbooks, and architecture diagrams.
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
Expertise in cloud networking (VPC design, load balancing, firewalling, routing, hybrid connectivity).
Experience with microservices architectures and cloud-native networking patterns.
Solid understanding of Cloud Platform engineering (compute, storage, IAM, monitoring).
Google Cloud certifications (Cloud Network Engineer, Cloud Architect).
Experience with Kubernetes networking (GKE).
Familiarity with service mesh (Istio) or API gateways.
Knowledge of Terraform or other IaC tools.
