Overview

We are seeking a Guidewire Architect with deep hands-on experience in BillingCenter and PolicyCenter solution design. This individual will be responsible for establishing architectural direction, driving solution standards, and ensuring scalable configurations across multi-line P&C insurance platforms. This role will partner closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end digital transformation outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and solution design for Guidewire BillingCenter and PolicyCenter implementations (Greenfield and Enhancements).
• Define enterprise patterns, data models, integration standards, and best practices within the Guidewire ecosystem.
• Influence overall roadmap, modernization strategy, and application evolution of core billing, policy, and rating workflows.
• Support configuration and integration teams across development, testing, deployment, and production stabilization.
• Drive API-led integration strategy between Guidewire, legacy systems, rating engines, portals, and downstream services.
• Conduct architecture reviews, performance tuning, risk assessments, and Design Authority decisions.
• Translate business requirements from carriers, lines of business, and underwriting teams into scalable system designs.
• Mentor engineers and support governance across sprint cycles, backlog planning, and solution acceptance.

Required Experience

• 7+ years Guidewire experience, with at least 3+ years focused on BillingCenter and PolicyCenter architecture.
• Proven hands-on experience designing or implementing configurations, product models, event messaging, workflows, and domain models.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance data structures, billing rules, policy life cycle, rating, and financial sub-ledger processing.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud or Cloud migrations highly preferred.
• Experience integrating Guidewire with Salesforce, rating engines, ERP/GL, and payment gateways (API, ESB, Kafka, MuleSoft, etc.).
• Ability to create architecture artifacts: sequence diagrams, interface contracts, data models, logical architecture views.
