HR Manager | Grandville, MI

Salary Range: $78,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grandville seeking HR Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment for production, technical, and administrative roles.
• Manage employee relations, including grievance resolution and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with all labor laws, safety regulations (OSHA), and company policies.
• Develop and implement training programs, particularly focusing on safety and skills development.
• Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
• Lead HR initiatives to support a high-performance culture and employee engagement.
• Drive workforce planning and succession initiatives for critical manufacturing roles.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience managing HR functions within a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA, FLSA, and EEO regulations.
• Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Strong background in talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies for manufacturing roles.
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and leveraging data analytics for HR decision-making.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with labor relations, including union negotiations or collective bargaining in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems commonly utilized in manufacturing environments for time tracking, shift scheduling, or production incentives.
• Previous experience in a multi-site or global manufacturing organization.
