Design Assistant Coordinator
§ International hospitality group looking for a creative, well organized detail-oriented design assistant/coordinator for international projects + renovations on existing properties. 5 days in office at Greenwich CT office with potential international travel. 3-5 years of design and construction project coordination experience required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for transforming designer’s concepts into three-dimensions designs and coordinating execution at various locations
· Sourcing furniture, fabric & finishes for U.S. and International projects
· Coordinate and oversee international shipments to and from various countries
· Maintain meticulous documentation of accounting, meetings and sources of all projects
· Coordinate with international teams on various deadlines and installs
· Conduct weekly site visits to renovation projects to ensure deadlines are met
· Assist onsite teams to ensure deadlines are met
· Must be able to travel internationally as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
· Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to read and understand construction documentation
· Proficiency in use of design layout and rendering software (CAD and others)
· Must possess a thorough knowledge of furnishing products including an understanding of fabrics and their functionality as well as product construction, including window coverings, bedding, and upholstered furniture
· Self-starter and ability to execute tasks with direction from owner/designer.
· Very detailed oriented, demonstrate a proactive approach, work with a strong sense of urgency and be extremely organized. This position requires continuous use of problem-solving skills and the ability to understand the “big picture” in terms of cost, productivity, and various deadlines
· Good communicator - language skills a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, Italian)
· Works well individually and with others
· Interest in art a plus
