Job Description:
As a Commercial Interior Designer, you will play a key role in developing innovative design solutions for a variety of commercial projects including offices, retail spaces, hospitality, and more. You will work closely with clients, architects, and other team members to create functional and aesthetically pleasing environments that meet the needs of users while adhering to project timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs, objectives, and brand identity.
- Develop conceptual designs, space plans, and detailed interior design documents.
- Select materials, furnishings, and finishes that align with design intent and budget constraints.
- Create 3D renderings and visual presentations to effectively communicate design concepts.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors throughout the design and construction phases.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to enhance design innovation.
- Participate in project management activities, ensuring timely delivery of design milestones.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in commercial interior design, preferably within an architectural firm.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A portfolio showcasing a range of commercial interior design projects.
