TradeCorp is seeking a skilled and reliable Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair low-voltage electrical systems across various settings, including educational facilities, healthcare, hospitality, public entities, and residential homes. The ideal candidate will be experienced in reading blueprints, troubleshooting, and providing excellent customer service, with a strong understanding of electrical wiring, circuits, and components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Blueprint Reading: Use blueprints, schematics, and visual aids to determine accurate placement and installation of low-voltage components.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with low-voltage systems to ensure safe and correct installations or repairs.
• Alarm Panel Installation: Install, program, maintain, and repair security and fire alarm systems, including all related wiring and equipment.
• Customer Service: Provide end-users with guidance on operating installed equipment and respond to any questions or concerns.
• Record Maintenance: Document all work performed and maintain detailed logs, including gathering customer signatures for verification of services.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with low-voltage installations, wiring, and maintenance.
• Open-minded with a willingness to learn and understand all aspects of structured cabling systems, including pathways, spaces, cabling, testing, and more.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team player attitude.
• High level of proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately for wiring and color-coded systems.
• Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for travel between sites).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or vocational training in electrical or low-voltage systems.
• Familiarity with fire and security alarm systems and relevant local codes and regulations.
• Experience working across various settings, such as residential, commercial, and public facilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, stand, and work on ladders or in confined spaces as needed.
