Position Overview On Location is seeking a dynamic Manager, Procurement to join our FIFA World Cup 26 program team. This role will play a critical part in supporting the development and evolution of our procurement function. The successful candidate will balance immediate operational needs with strategic planning initiatives, helping to establish a professional procurement department that supports On Location's ambitious World Cup objectives. Key Responsibilities Vendor Qualification & Approval Support: Assist with vendor risk assessment, financial review, and vendor qualification and approval processes Contract Management Support: Support contract negotiation, terms development, execution, and signature authority coordination RFP Standards & Review Support: Help develop RFP templates and standards, assist with RFP review and approval processes Vendor Selection & Budget Support: Support final vendor selection decisions and budget approval processes Compliance & Performance Escalation Support: Assist with FIFA compliance oversight and verification, help manage performance issue escalation and resolution Financial Processing Support: Support invoice processing and review, assist with change order review and financial analysis System & Legal Coordination Support: Help initiate contracts into Jaggaer system, support legal review coordination of vendor redlines Collaboration Responsibilities Vendor Relations Support: Support functional areas with vendor onboarding, documentation, and performance monitoring (functional areas own day-to-day vendor relationship management) RFP Process Support: Assist functional areas in RFP exhibit development, process coordination, and proposal evaluation and technical scoring Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, legal, and program teams to deliver procurement solutions Strategic Planning & Process Development (40%) Process Development: Help create and refine procurement policies, procedures, and best practices Technology Integration: Support the evaluation and implementation of procurement tools and systems Market Research: Conduct supplier market analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization and risk mitigation Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current operations and propose solutions for enhanced effectiveness Documentation: Create and maintain procurement documentation, including vendor databases, process flows, and compliance checklists Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field Experience: 5-9 years of procurement, supply chain, or related business experience (typically progressing from Buyer to Senior Buyer level) Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP systems and procurement software preferred Analytical: Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and create meaningful reports Core Competencies: Strong negotiation and contract management skills with decision-making authority; advanced analytical skills with ability to conduct financial and risk assessment; experience with RFP development, management, and vendor selection processes; knowledge of compliance frameworks and performance monitoring; detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities for managing complex procurement cycles; ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment; problem-solving mindset with ability to escalate and resolve performance issues Preferred Qualifications Experience in event management, hospitality, or the sports industry. Applicants with transferable skills from other client-facing roles are encouraged.
