Marketing Assistant - Crown Sports Center Location: Fruitland, MD Department: Marketing Reports to: Marketing Manager Employment Status: Part-Time (Non-Exempt) Crown Sports Center is a multi-sport recreation and entertainment facility located in Fruitland, Maryland. The Center is managed by Sports Facilities Management, LLC, a division of The Sports Facilities Companies (SFC). Position Summary: The Marketing Assistant is a part‑time, entry‑level role that executes marketing tasks assigned by the Marketing Manager. Key duties include content capture and creation, event staging and promotion, sponsorship outreach, community engagement, and support for the graphics team. Primary Responsibilities: Assist with content capture and content creation. Assist with traffic building promotions and event setup and execution. Assist with sponsorship execution. Solicit new business through prospecting and cold calling. Create and distribute event promotional packages. Assist with booking birthday parties, corporate parties, and other group events. Act as personal host for all parties and events, conducting guided tours. Assist the graphics team in capturing content (photo, video, etc.) for in‑house flyers, invitations, print ads, posters, e‑mail marketing, website content. Maintain a positive public reputation by being helpful and cheerful. Perform the job safely and in compliance with company policies, procedures, work and safety rules, and the team member manual. Handle cash, assigned bank, and cash register operations responsibly. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications: Must be 17+ years of age. Must have education and some experience in business development disciplines such as promotions, advertising, PR, merchandising, graphic design, fundraising and sponsorship sales, website design, e‑mail marketing, and campaign management. Must have excellent interpersonal, problem‑solving, and negotiating skills. Must be a team player. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays. Working Conditions And Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 30 pounds waist high. May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, either indoors or outdoors, and to squat, stoop, or bend. Facility has intermittent noise.
