Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a NDT - FPI Technician for a W2 contract-to-hire position with a client in Indianapolis, IN. This role will be performing non-destructive testing, including Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) of RPCA materials. Responsibilities also include determining part acceptability relative to quality requirements, preparing reports/documentation, and setting up, calibrating, and maintaining non-destructive equipment.

Rate Range: $28.00/hour to $31.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

NDT - FPI Technician job responsibilities include:

  • Perform non-destructive testing, including Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, on RPCA materials
  • Interpret results of FPI in accordance with established quality procedures and instructions
  • Determine part acceptability relative to quality requirements and prepare necessary documentation
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain non-destructive testing equipment as required
  • Complete all required compliance and EHS training and participate in safety audits

Desired Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of Quality Inspection or Machinist experience or equivalent certification
  • Willingness and ability to complete required training to obtain L1 and L2 NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) certification. While NDE certification is preferred, training will be provided for qualified candidates who do not yet hold this NDE certification.
