Outside Sales Representative – Rebar & Steel Division (Hutto & Austin, TX)

Compensation: Base Salary + Commission + Monthly Auto & Cell Phone Allowance
Location: Hutto & Austin, Texas
Reports To: Director of Sales

About the Role:
Barnsco Texas is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative with a proven track record in Rebar and Steel sales to serve our Central Texas market. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with contractors, fabricators, and concrete construction professionals while promoting Barnsco’s full line of rebar, post-tension, and concrete construction products.

The ideal candidate understands the local market, is well-connected in the construction community, and brings both technical product knowledge and the ability to close sales in a competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and grow business with concrete contractors, rebar installers, and general contractors in the Central Texas area.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts while actively prospecting and onboarding new customers.
• Provide knowledgeable, consultative sales support on rebar, steel, and concrete accessory products.
• Prepare and deliver accurate quotes, bids, and submittals for rebar fabrication and related materials.
• Partner with the inside sales and operations teams to ensure timely order fulfillment, scheduling, and delivery .
• Stay current on pricing, market trends, and competitor offerings to maintain a strong position in the marketplace.
• Represent Barnsco Texas with professionalism on job sites, at customer meetings, and within the local construction community.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3–5+ years of sales experience in the Rebar, Steel, or Concrete Construction industry required.
• Strong knowledge of rebar fabrication, steel reinforcement, and related construction materials.
• Established relationships with contractors, project managers, and estimators in the Texas construction market preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); experience with BisTrack or Point of Rental is a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
