A community health network in the Greater Austin suburbs is currently seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) for a promising opportunity at one of their outpatient facilities.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule : Monday-Friday standard business hours
  • Call: Light rotated telephone only call 1 week every 7 months
  • Setting: Outpatient community health

Responsibilities:

The Pediatric NP will:

  • Monitor children's growth, development, and overall health through regular check-ups and well-child visits
  • Provide vaccinations and immunizations to protect children from various diseases, following recommended schedules and guidelines
  • Diagnose and treat various illnesses and medical conditions affecting children, such as infections, allergies, asthma, and more
  • Assess and monitor a child's physical, cognitive, and behavioral development, identifying potential delays or concerns
  • Address behavioral and mental health issues in children, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders
  • Provide immediate care for children in emergency situations, stabilizing and treating injuries and acute medical conditions
  • Manage chronic health conditions in children, such as diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and congenital heart conditions, coordinating care and treatment plans
  • Conduct various screenings and tests, including vision and hearing tests, blood tests, and developmental assessments, to ensure early detection of any potential health issues
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, documenting health assessments, treatments, and recommendations
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active Texas state Nurse Practitioner license
