Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This is a full-time, boots-on-the-ground position that plays a vital role in supporting community behavioral health initiatives. The PMHNP will collaborate closely with first responders and case managers to engage with local residents, providing psychiatric assessment, intervention, and follow-up care where it is needed most.

Schedule

• On-site field work: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
• Additional duties, documentation, and follow-up: Tuesday and Thursday in other roles within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Partner with first responders and case managers to identify and engage residents in need of psychiatric care and support.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up visits in the community setting.
• Provide crisis intervention and assist in coordinating appropriate levels of care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and strong community relationships.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Active and unrestricted APRN license in Texas.
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Texas.
• Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
• This position IS NOT remote. Must be able to report to office five days per week.
