Job Title: Purchasing Assistant

Location and Hours: NW Houston, TX (On-site), M-F, 8am-5pm

Employment Type: Full-time, Direct hire

Compensation : $25/hr. DOE + Benefits

Position Summary:

Our client is a luxury bath and kitchen design wholesale company in NW Houston seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join their team. This role supports the purchasing team by managing purchasing activities and order management to ensure timely ordering of materials, products, and services. The Purchasing Assistant ensures purchase orders are processed accurately, tracked through delivery, and updated in the system to keep operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience in purchasing and order management, proficiency with NetSuite and Excel, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end purchasing and order management processes in NetSuite from entry to fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate supplier, inventory, and purchasing records.
• Communicate with vendors regarding order status, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Support the purchasing team in sourcing products and obtaining competitive quotes.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Assist with reporting and analysis of purchasing and order management activities.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure purchasing needs are met.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing and order management required.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and Excel required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent data entry and record-keeping abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
