Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for Receiving and Final Inspection and ensuring the quality of products shipped. Previous experience in a PCB assembly environment is preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Perform receiving inspection of PCB Assemblies, Components and Fabricated parts using sampling procedures defined for Inspection.
  • Apply IPC-A-610 standards for receiving inspection of Electronic Assemblies.
  • Maintain records of receiving inspection in ERP database. Liaise with Warehouse and Purchasing to return nonconforming parts to Vendors.
  • Approve finished products for shipping by conducting visual inspection, confirming specifications, verifying the tests results and checking the product for configuration per customer requirements.
  • Perform final inspection using IPC-A-610 standards, Assembly drawings, Bill of Materials and Customer requirements.
  • Raise Quality Notice if there is a nonconformance and assist in determining corrective action. Return products for re-work & confirm re-work is completed by the disposition by Engineering.
  • Document Final Inspection results by completing checklists, closing Quality Notifications and maintaining final inspection records in ERP database.
  • Accomplish quality and organization mission by meeting personal goals & objectives.
  • Prepare and submit reports when needed.
  • Adhere to all ESD requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in training opportunities.
  • Inspecting of precision parts/materials for anti-counterfeit issues

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Minimum Educational / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • IPC-A-610 Standard.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to read Specifications, Assembly drawings, Bills of Materials and Instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for incoming parts and the final product.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in PCB assembly environment.
  • Experience as Quality Control Inspector or relevant role. Familiarity with First Article, Receiving and Final Inspection Procedures.
  • High sense of urgency, attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
  • Experience with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes and other inspection aids.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to successfully work in a team environment.
