Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Development: Maintain a consistent, distinctive station sound aligned with WEEU's brand identity and audience demographics.

  • Campaign Development: Contribute ideas for marketing and promotional campaigns across on-air, digital, and social platforms.

  • Quality Control: Maintain production standards, manage sound libraries, and ensure compliance with FCC and internal guidelines.

  • Mentorship: Guide and support part-time producers or interns, fostering a creative and collaborative environment in the production department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of radio production or creative services experience (commercial, imaging, or broadcast creative).

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Audition (or equivalent DAW), production libraries, and broadcast automation systems ( BE AudioVault experience a plus).

  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.

  • A deep understanding of radio branding , pacing, and emotional impact.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Experience directing talent, collaborating with clients, and maintaining brand consistency.

  • Familiarity with digital audio formats, streaming, and podcast production is preferred.

  • Must be a self-starter who can take initiative, work independently, and bring creative ideas to life from concept to completion.

Ideal Candidate

You're a creative thinker with a producer's mindset --- part storyteller, part sound designer, part brand guardian. You take pride in crafting spots that don't just fill airtime but capture attention and get results. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and understand the unique blend of art and business that makes local radio thrive.
