Job Summary: The Recruiting Coordinator is a key member of the Talent Acquisition Team at Healthier Mississippi People (HMP), responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process. This includes attracting and sourcing qualified candidates, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and handling all hiring-related documentation. The role ensures a smooth experience for applicants and internal teams by facilitating clear communication and timely follow-up. Strong interpersonal skills, confidence in outreach, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving are essential. As the primary point of contact for many open positions, the Recruiting Coordinator must provide excellent customer service and is expected to work on-site during standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) to support both candidates and the corporate team effectively.
Essential Duties and Key Projects:
· Serves as first line contact for the Talent Acquisition Team; available in office.
· Constantly monitors the recruiting system for new applications and assists recruitment team with customized screening of applicants by phone and/or email.
· Responsible for initial contact of applicants to determine qualifications and interest level of applicants.
· Appropriately refers applicants to recruiters depending upon the job title and information gained during the phone screen.
· Represents and promotes HMP to potential applicants by providing information, responding to questions, and collecting applicant data.
· Monitors the recruiting@healthier.ms email address and appropriately refers out correspondence.
· Provides new hires with “welcome” information electronically or by phone to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
· Assists with identifying issues affecting recruitment and implementing recruitment activities to continuously improve processes.
· Uses strong communication skills while working with Recruiters and Payroll/Benefits department to ensure all new hire information is shared in a timely manner to ensure proper onboarding of new hire.
· Participates in helping recruiters prepare items for events and marketing engagements.
· Responsible for processing recruiter’s supply orders.
· Displays professionalism, top notch customer service, innovative thinking skills, organizational skills, and project management skills.
