Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Care Intern, you will evaluate and provide care for respiratory therapy patients within your scope of practice, gaining invaluable experience and skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments under appropriate supervision.
• Deliver and assess patient response to prescribed therapy.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions effectively.
• Educate patients on diseases, medications, and treatments.
• Respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses as needed.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:

• Currently enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program.

Experience:

• No prior experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent use of speech for communication.
• Constant standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to perform tasks requiring vision, hearing, and smell senses.
• Frequent data entry and keyboard use.

Required Certifications:

• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association.
• Respiratory Educ Permit or equivalent for the state of work location.
