Position Summary:
Stellar Roofing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Roof Shingle Installer to join our team. This role involves the proper installation of roofing shingles on residential structures, ensuring waterproofing, durability, and aesthetic appeal. The ideal candidate will have experience working safely at heights, following construction plans, and adhering to industry best practices, while working efficiently to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Roof Inspection:

Conduct thorough assessments of roofs to determine overall condition, identify damage, and specify necessary repairs or shingle replacements.

• Material Preparation:

Gather, organize, and prepare all tools and materials required for the project, including shingles, nails, hammers, safety equipment, ladders, and other necessary supplies.

• Shingle Installation:

Install roofing shingles according to manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and industry standards. Ensure shingles are properly aligned, spaced, and securely fastened for optimal durability and appearance.

• Roof Repair:

Replace damaged or worn shingles, repair leaks, and address structural issues to maintain the roof’s integrity and waterproofing.

• Weatherproofing & Waterproofing:

Apply underlayment, flashing, and sealants to create a weatherproof barrier that protects the roof and structure from water infiltration.

• Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and operate safely when working at heights or with power tools.

• Site Cleanup:

Remove debris, leftover materials, and waste from the job site to leave it clean, organized, and safe for future work.

• Quality Assurance:

Perform quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure the shingles are installed correctly, meeting standards for durability, water resistance, and visual appeal.

• Project Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and team members, coordinating project schedules and addressing any issues promptly.

• Customer Interaction:

Maintain professionalism when interacting with clients, providing updates, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction with the completed work.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in shingle roofing installation on both residential buildings.
• Familiarity with roofing materials, including asphalt shingles, underlayment, flashing, and waterproofing membranes.
• Comfortable working at heights, lifting heavy materials (80 lbs or more), and using air-powered tools such as nailers.
• Ability to read and follow construction plans and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and craftsmanship.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
