Position Summary The Power Engineer will perform electrical engineering tasks with some oversight. Depending on the project, you may be the sole power engineering resource or part of a team. Candidates should have experience in electrical power system design and analysis. Minimum Qualifications Legally eligible to work in the U.S. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology from an ABET-accredited institution At least 6 to 12 years of industrial electrical engineering experience Preferred industry experience (e.g., Food & Beverage, Refinery, Steel, Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Mining, Manufacturing) PE license preferred Ability to travel 25-30%, including overnight Required Skills and Knowledge Understanding of the National Electrical Code Low-voltage power distribution design Conduit/tray routing and wire/cable scheduling AutoCAD or REVIT experience Electrical equipment specification Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills Preferred Additional Skills Design for hazardous locations VFD application and specification Medium-voltage power distribution design Electrical system analysis software experience (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower) Physical Requirements Ability to perform field work, including exposure to hazards and physical demands Why Join Matrix?
