As part of the Marketing Department, the Senior Performance Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing Vertex Education’s mission by driving measurable enrollment growth through high-impact paid media campaigns. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and partners with them to develop the paid media strategy. They lead strategy execution across Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms, optimizing campaigns to deliver monthly performance marketing goals (leads, completed applications, ad efficiency, etc.). This role combines data-driven decision-making with deep expertise in bid strategies, audience targeting, and A/B testing. By managing a multi-million-dollar media budget and collaborating with marketing leadership, creative, agency, and enrollment teams, the Senior Performance Marketing Manager ensures that every dollar spent contributes to helping more families discover quality educational opportunities for their children.

Essential Functions:

1. Paid Media Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement multi-channel paid media strategies across Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other performance platforms.
  • Manage an annual paid media budget of approximately $2 million, optimizing for channel mix and spend efficiency.
  • Establish campaign goals, bid strategies, and audience targeting aligned with enrollment objectives.
  • Execute campaigns that generate leads and completed applications while maintaining cost-efficiency benchmarks.

2. Audience, Funnel, and Market Targeting

  • Deploy campaigns with localized targeting in geographic markets served by Legacy Traditional Schools.
  • Align campaign strategies with the marketing funnel to drive audiences from awareness to conversion.
  • Create segmentation approaches for parent personas (e.g., preschool parents, transfer-seekers).
  • Use data insights to optimize local market strategies and ensure platform and privacy compliance.

3. Performance Analysis & Optimization

  • Monitor daily campaign performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
  • Use tools like HubSpot, Triple Whale, and Northbeam to track and report key metrics (CPL, CPA, etc.).
  • Conduct regular A/B testing across creative, audience, and bid strategies to improve ROI.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting for marketing leadership and school stakeholders.

4. Cross-Functional & Agency Collaboration

  • Oversee relationships with at least one external media agency, ensuring alignment and accountability.
  • Partner with creative and enrollment teams to develop and refine targeted campaign assets.
  • Ensure ad creative is continually optimized in collaboration with internal design teams.
  • Maintain alignment between media strategy and school priorities through strong communication.

5. Innovation & AI Integration

  • Lead adoption and integration of AI-driven campaign tools (e.g., Meta ASC, Google AI Max).
  • Identify automation opportunities to enhance marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support AI-generated ad content implementation and testing across platforms.
  • Train marketing staff and stakeholders on AI usage and foster a culture of innovation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing paid campaigns on Meta and Google Ads.
  • Proven success managing large-scale digital media budgets (~$2M annually).
  • Strong ability to develop campaign strategies, set KPIs, and manage bid strategies tied to lead generation.
  • Proficiency in performance tracking, attribution modeling, and in-platform optimizations.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing external agencies.
  • Expertise in audience segmentation and localized marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with AI automation in paid media (e.g., Meta ASC, Google AI Max).
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the education sector, enrollment marketing, or multi-location campaign management.
  • Google Ads and/or Meta Blueprint certification.
  • Track record of leading AI or digital transformation initiatives in a marketing environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills or experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau).
  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
