Tax Associate/Sr. Tax Associate

Job Title: Tax Associate or Sr. Tax Associate
Location: Chamberlain, SD
Salary: $80-90k + bonus and benefits
Benefits: Comprehensive medical, PTO, 401k, Summer Fridays

Position Overview
The tax Associate or Sr. Tax Associate will play a critical role in the tax department, providing comprehensive tax services to clients while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This position requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as strong analytical skills to support tax planning and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and laws.
• Assist in tax planning and advisory services for clients to optimize their tax positions.
• Conduct research on tax regulations and provide guidance to clients regarding compliance and planning strategies.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
• Assist with the preparation and review of workpapers and supporting documentation for tax filings.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and their implications for clients.
• Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality tax services and support clients' needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. MBA or masters in Accountancy is a bonus.
• CPA certification is preferred, or pursuing a CPA designation.
• 1+ years of experience in public accounting with experience in tax services.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• Proficiency in tax software, particularly Ultratax, is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
