Job Details:

\n

• Dual responsibilities including CT and Diagnostic Radiology
\n• Position and adjust patients using immobilization and support devices to ensure optimal image quality
\n• Determine appropriate radiographic techniques based on anatomy and patient condition
\n• Secure patient history regarding prescribed tests and record information for radiologist review
\n• Demonstrate competent understanding of patient positioning and image critique
\n• Perform problem solving related to physical limitations during patient positioning
\n• Follow appropriate scanning protocols per radiologist requirements
\n• Perform image reviews to determine if additional views are necessary
\n• Select and adjust technical factors governing the imaging process
\n• Identify artifacts on films and assist in problem solving
\n• Communicate normal and abnormal anatomy findings to radiologists
\n• Evaluate CT orders for appropriateness using ACR Appropriateness Criteria
\n• Operate equipment competently in CT and Digital x-ray modalities
\n• Modify technical factors as situations warrant
\n• Perform daily equipment start-up and shut-down procedures
\n• Ensure images are properly labeled and marked
\n• Inspect equipment daily during use and report malfunctions
\n• Complete annual competencies
\n• Maintain compliance with all radiation safety procedures
\n• Document patient care according to departmental standards
