Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting with a minimum of 1 year of experience and active state or compact licensure.

\n \n Responsibilities\n
  • Outpatient care setting serving patients with neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions
  • Work hours are 8a-5:30p with 9-hour shifts and 1 weekend per month required
  • Assignment duration is 13 weeks
  • Uses Epic for documentation; prior EMR use preferred
  • Patient population includes individuals requiring strengthening, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and ADL retraining
  • May require floating to other areas or sites as needed
  • Responsibilities include performing a variety of therapeutic interventions such as patient education, strengthening, adaptive equipment training, manual therapy, and aquatic therapy as uniquely needed by patients
  • Participates in documentation, program development, teaching, and clinical skills enhancement
  • Applicants must be available for the in-state week of orientation regardless of remote module completion
  • Must demonstrate flexibility in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and floating as required
  • Scrub or dress code requirements will be outlined during orientation
  • Radius restriction of 60 miles from facility applies; proof of permanent address required
  • Return-to-work policy excludes candidates employed by CommonSpirit affiliates in the past year unless employed PRN through outside agencies

  • Active Physical Therapist license in the state of practice or compact (NLC) required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent physical therapy experience
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
  • Must submit a copy of driver’s license for consideration
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years
  • Dry Needling Certification required only if performing dry needling
  • Experience with Epic or similar EMR preferred
