As a Unarmed Security Professional - Access Control in Conklin, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits at a busy retail location. Your presence and attentiveness will support a welcoming environment for guests and staff, while you conduct routine patrols and uphold access protocols. What Youll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor access points at the retail location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit.
• Verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with access-related inquiries and directions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity.
• Document and report all access control activities, incidents, and irregularities to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
• Collaborate with store staff to address access-related concerns and support security-related emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
