As a Unarmed Security Professional - Tech Site - Full Time in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, maintaining a visible presence to help promote a sense of security, and responding promptly to any security-related situations. You will also assist with access control duties, greeting and guiding guests, and using technology such as computers or tablets to log incidents or check credentials. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $24.84 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM Thu: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM Fri: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:30 AM What You’ll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within a technology-focused location. Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and observe any unusual situations. Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help deter unauthorized access. Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols. Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as necessary during routine operations and incidents. Support the implementation of security-related procedures tailored to the needs of a technology, media, or telecom environment. What We’re Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
