Duties
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate staff members
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents
- Provide general support to the office staff and assist with various projects as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Skills
- Equine knowledge and experience preferred
- Familiarity with aseptic technique in a veterinary setting
- Knowledge of pet care and handling techniques
- Experience working in a kennel or animal care facility
- Understanding of veterinary critical care procedures
- Proficiency as a veterinary assistant, including animal restraint and basic medical procedures
- Knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy
- Ability to perform animal catheterization under supervision
- Strong animal husbandry skills
