Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer
Phoenix, AZ
Vaco is partnering with a well-established and growing CPA firm in Phoenix to hire a Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for an accounting professional who excels in a collaborative, client-focused environment and is seeking long-term career stability. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:

• Importing bank feeds, recording journal entries, and reconciling financial accounts
• Posting deposits and preparing after-the-fact payroll along with quarterly and annual payroll reports
• Preparing and filing Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) reports
• Collaborating with team members on accounting and tax review processes
• Supporting tax planning initiatives for clients
• Communicating regularly with clients, including meetings and follow-up correspondence
• Preparing individual and corporate income tax returns
• Overseeing the review and quality control of completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Managing multiple projects independently and efficiently
• Providing clients with timely, accurate financial and tax information

• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and full-cycle bookkeeping, as well as tax preparation for small businesses and/or individual clients.

• Small CPA firm experience
