Position Overview
The Director of Gaming Operations-Northern NV will be responsible for overseeing gaming operations and providing analysis for multiple properties working with the leadership team to ensure they reach their financial goals. This position will provide analysis of current customer data segmentation methods and provide insight for strategic decision making for short and long-term profitability of the casino. The Director of Gaming Operations-Northern NV will develop, implement, and manage operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. The Director of Gaming Operations-Northern NV will be responsible for managing games, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations, and maintaining a positive atmosphere for guests and staff alike in the Company’s Winnemucca and Carlin Nevada locations.
Responsibilities
- Gather, compute, and analyze Slot play information.
- Provide past and present operational performance analysis for the casino. Review reports on slot machine analysis and make appropriate recommendations to maximize profitability of respective machines.
- Analyze slot product performance and make recommendations on conversions and/or moves.
- Generate reports, analyze data, and make recommendations regarding floor mix of slot machines, hold adjustments, and new game availability to consistently maximize the profitability of the slot floor.
- Work closely with the leadership team to plan and submit for movements and conversions of slot machines, based on analysis of gaming floor.
- Assist in the management of slot performance property support activities inclusive of planning, procurement, installation, implementation, and ongoing support for all slot systems located at the Winnemucca and Carlin properties.
- Make recommendations concerning the research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technologies, and processes to ensure each property’s competitive position.
- Support planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating information and making recommendations for slot floor.
- Prepare standard and ad-hoc Slot Ops reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.
- Develop the queries and procedures for extracting and communicating required game information.
- With the assistance of leadership, provide analysis of customer spend and trends as well as player and marketing demographic information to develop long-term strategies.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of direct mail programs designed to attract and retain new and existing customers to the Winnemucca and Carlin properties.
- Capture and perform data analysis within player tracking to monitor performance.
- Assist with pre and post campaign analysis from campaigns to determine effectiveness and revenue generating impact.
- Collaborate with all Marketing and Information Technology staff to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data-related issues of concern.
- Adhere to Compliance policies, internal control procedures and policies and procedures of the properties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Have core analytical skills and strong critical thinking.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office Professional software applications.
- Knowledge and experience with Slot Player Tracking, Casino Management and Casino marketing systems.
- Practical knowledge in accumulating and integrating data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs and flow charts.
- Proven experience in the use of computer systems including database systems, software, data retrieval methodologies and quantitative analysis.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm and positive attitude.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- The ability to successfully interact with all levels of team members and management.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five (5) years of comparable slot analytic/management experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Proven experience in a casino environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Excellent conflict management abilities to resolve disputes professionally.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff members.
- Familiarity with gaming operations and regulations.
