The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. The Guest Service Associate is responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner and assisting guests with luggage, including delivery and pick up of guest luggage (where applicable) during arrival and departure. Essential functions include maintaining a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients; greeting guests within five feet; using guest last names during interactions; using salutation of the day; practicing proper phone etiquette; parking and retrieving vehicles cautiously; assisting guests with bell services and luggage storage; opening vehicle and hotel doors; assisting guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries; providing information about facility amenities and local attractions; delivering messages and guest amenities; shuttling guests to approved locations; explaining parking rates and retrieval procedures; issuing and collecting claim checks; maintaining ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage surveys, and claim check receipts; calculating and collecting revenue when needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, minimum age of 18, ability to pass background and drug screening, and one month related experience or equivalent. Knowledge of customer service principles and ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and correspondence are required. Physical demands include ability to talk, hear, sit or stand for extended periods, run, walk, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally is required. Work is mostly outdoors with exposure to extreme weather. Travel up to 5% may be required.
