Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Welder- Comm/Data Fabrication - 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:15pm to 10:45pm. The hourly rate for this position is 27.17 per hour.

What you'll do: \n - Perform simple repetitive tasks and assembly of parts and components
\n - Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices
\n - Adjust and troubleshoot welding equipment
\n - Operate welding unit, perform minor adjustments, and weld both aluminum and steel
\n - Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or engineering drawings
\n - Remove excess weld, slag, spatter, and rough spots from workpieces using grinders, brushes, chisels, or scrapers
\n - Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
\n - Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas
\n - Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor
\n - Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility

Qualifications: Basic (Required) Qualifications: \n - A minimum of 1 year welding experience in a manufacturing environment (MIG/TIG)

Preferred Qualifications: \n - Previous experience with manufacturing fabrication
\n - Ability to weld aluminum and steel
\n - Experience with high volume, fast paced welding
\n
\n
Position Criteria: \n - Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift
\n - Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure
\n - Accurately measure components and products utilizing tape measures & calipers
\n - Ability to read engineering drawings
\n - Ability to identify defects and measure workpiece to ensure conformance
\n

Physical Demands: \n - Repetitive lifting and movement of small and large products / components
\n - Exposure to high noise level
\n - Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity
\n - Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents
\n
