ArtCenter College of Design is searching for an experienced Senior Receiving Coordinator/Courier to join our team.
The salary range for this position: $24.72 - 27.47 (35-hour work week)
Finalsalary is based on education, experience, skills relevant to therole, and internal equity.

The senior receiving coordinator courier is responsible for the planning and coordination of delivering mail, packages, correspondence, and special shipments and other items to offices on multiple campuses. The incumbent will continually assess the receiving and mail needs of the South Campus staff and will work with the Receiving Supervisor to adjust services as needed. This position will receive and check in receiving deliveries made to all campus locations and assist with performing miscellaneous duties such as sorting, processing and routing mail. Will be crossed trained with department positions to provide coverage as needed for vacation and absences and will provide backup supervisory coverage as needed in the absence of the Receiving Supervisor.
This is a full-time, on-site position. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Essential Functions Mail and Package Delivery - 60% - Coordinate and handle deliveries and pick-ups of packages and mail between campuses several times per week, which vary in nature from highly confidential documents to time-sensitive correspondence to bulk packages, in a timely and organized manner
- Deliver time sensitive items to other campus on delivery off days as needed
- Receive and check in packages against purchase orders for all campuses
- Assist in miscellaneous duties as assigned such as sorting, processing and routing mail
- Manage the receiving of special/large shipment deliveries at South Campus Locations
- Drive forklift as needed when performing special shipment Receiving at South Campus Locations
Operations - 35% - Assess and suggest operations improvements for the Receiving and Mail needs of the South Campus
- Provide coverage during absence of other Receiving and Mail staff
- Supervisory duties in the absence of the Receiving Supervisor
Other Duties - 5% - Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 6 months to 1-year previous experience in a clerical support or courier role
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized, able to balance priorities, takes initiative, attention to detail, reliable and resourceful and able to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Must be able to work independently as well as be flexible to work as a part of a team and take direction from others
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid CA driver's license with a clean record; must provide proof of current insurance
- A commitment to DEIAB and culture, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within ArtCenter's diverse communities
Preferred Qualifications - Forklift experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an shop setting; to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time; including, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, squatting, and twisting; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight (100 pounds); to operate office and shop equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
